About the Instructor:

As a professional singer-songwriter, Julia Yob is well-versed in finding – and sometimes fighting her way to – musical inspiration in the world around her. A Grand Rapids native with an honors B.A. in Music, she now has two musical theatre credits as a composer-lyricist (Poltergeist: A Musical Parody with the Stark Turn Players and TIP$ the Musical, produced in early 2014 with co-writer Ian Mockerman). Julia has written over 100 original songs, including all of those on her first CD, Kissing Frogs. A proud member of the Grand Rapids Songwriters Alliance, she is also on the board for the Heritage Theatre. Julia welcomes you to keep up with her antics on Facebook.
